In ELA (English Language Arts) we have lots to learn! Please read with your child every night for at least twenty minutes. Reading every night will help your child become a stronger reader. We are going to be doing Process Writing. This is a time when I model writing for your child. Once I have modeled the lesson, they get approximately 15-20 minutes to write on their own. We are meeting to talk about their writing, and we are working together. Our spelling helps us to focus on phonics, which will help us to become better readers!

In math we are going to be working on number sense and basic addition and subtraction for accuracy and fluency. Please work on these skills at home with your child.
