Welcome to 6th Grade Math!
Welcome back for another terrific year here at Mosheim School. I am incredibly excited to have your child in my sixth grade math class this year! It is a firm belief of mine that a strong parent-teacher relationship is vital to your child’s success as a student.
So, let me begin by sharing a little bit about myself. I am a lifelong resident of Greene County, and attended Mosheim Elementary during the 1980’s and early 90’s. I graduated from West Greene High School in 1996, and began attending Tusculum College, now Tusculum University. It was from there that I graduated in the spring of 2000 with a degree in elementary education.
The following fall, I began my career here at Mosheim School. In December of 2005, I graduated from the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis program at ETSU, with a master’s degree in school administration. In October of 2016, I married my best friend Thomas Oakes, who happens to be the son of a now-retired Kindergarten teacher. (He knew what he was getting into by marrying a teacher, and he did it anyway!)
It is hard to believe I am beginning my nineteenth year as a teacher. I LOVE what I do, and look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you very soon! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to call me here at school (422-6470) or email me at email@example.com. I am sure we will have a terrific year together!
