Spring 2025 Testing

2024-25 Testing Information

Each year, students in the state of Tennessee participate in the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program better known to students and parents as T-CAP. These tests are given in compliance with Every Student Succeeds Act §1177 and Tennessee Code Annotated (T.C.A.) §49-1602. Beginning in Tennessee in 1988, the T-CAP features tests in English language arts (ELA), math, social studies, and science.  Alternative programs like MSAA and T-CAP-Alt for students with special needs are also part of T-CAP.    Districts and schools work together to build a schedule that works best for their students.

TCAP Testing Dates Confirmed

The TCAP testing dates have been determined for each grade level, and all students in grades 2-5 will be participating. We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling appointments, trips, or other absences during these dates, especially in the mornings, to ensure a smooth testing process for all students.

Per state law, students cannot begin a test subpart, leave, and then resume that portion later. If you know in advance that your child will need to leave early on a testing day or will be absent, please call the school and leave a message for both the homeroom teacher and Mrs. Tullock, our testing coordinator, so that the affected portion is not started.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us provide the best testing experience for our students. We appreciate your support!
