👋 Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello! My name is Kim Dykes, and I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher! I am beginning my 20th year in education, and teaching young children has always

been one of my greatest passions.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Tusculum College and am highly qualified to teach Kindergarten through 4th grade, as well as English Language Arts in grades 6–8. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to teach in Kentucky, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Each experience has helped shape

me into the teacher I am today.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, supported, and challenged. I believe Kindergarten should be a place where children are excited to come to school, build confidence, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We will work hard, have fun, laugh often, and celebrate every accomplishment—big and small!

Outside of the classroom, I am a proud mom to my two wonderful daughters, Cailee and Kynslee, and have been happily married to my husband, Jeff, for nearly 30 years. One of my greatest joys is being a grandmother to my sweet 1-year-old granddaughter, Wrenley, who keeps our family smiling and brings so much joy to our lives! 💕

I am also a proud dog mommy to Tucker, a Yorkiepoo, and Magnum, an Aussiedoodle.

They definitely keep life fun and furry! 🐾

I feel incredibly blessed to be part of your child’s educational journey. Kindergarten is such a special year filled with growth, discovery, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. I look forward to working together with families to make this an amazing and
